Obedience Classes
Our Puppy Skills I teaches puppy and human socialization. It is a six week class where you will discuss puppy problems such as potty training, biting, chewing, etc. Basic commands such as sit, down and stay are introduced. Puppies must be 7-16 weeks old.
Our Puppy Skills II is a motivational bridge between Puppy Skills I and higher levels of learning. This is a six week class. You and your puppy will learn the foundations of enjoying walking on a leash together, coming when called, and basic obedience commands such as sit, down and stay. We add in confidence building exercises, dog tricks and you’ll receive continuing help for those lingering bad habits. Puppies must be between 16-24 weeks old.
Our Beginner Obedience I is an eight week course that will teach you how to train your dog in basic obedience exercises such as sit, down, stand, stay, come, controlled walking, etc. using positive reinforcement techniques. It will also reinforce basic manners and behavioral problem prevention and touch on health care and grooming. Dogs must be at least 6 months old. Younger dogs with previous training may be considered.
Our Beginner Obedience II is also an eight week course, will reinforce and build upon the skills developed in the Beginner Class. You will learn how to teach your dog to heel, come when called, stay in a sit and down position, stand for examination and more. Dogs should have completed a basic obedience class and be at least 6 months of age.
Our Novice, and UDX (Open & Utility) drop in classes are ongoing sessions that are designed for those who wish to go on to show their dogs or just want to have more fun getting their dogs to fetch, jump hurdles and other exciting activities. Dogs should have completed a minimum of sixteen weeks of basic obedience classes.
Our Obedience Open Ring Times are held on Friday's, times will vary. Two rings will be available for training. Ring time to be reserved in 25 minute increments. You may work one or more of your dogs.
Classes fill very quickly. To ensure a reservation in the class, be sure to submit your registration well in advance of the start date. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis and is not complete until the registration form with full payment is received.
